Tenía pendiente pasar por aquí y pensé que era un buen momento. No he estado tan activo, pero ha sido por los proyectos de diseño en los que estoy trabajando. Ha sido un trimestre movido y también difícil a nivel personal, buscando el equilibrio en mi vida.

Cada experiencia es un aprendizaje. Motiva ver y materializar proyectos a mis clientes y ayudarles a alcanzar sus objetivos en diseño y visualización. Aquí les comparto un concepto inicial para un producto en la línea hogar realizado en Blender.

I've been meaning to stop by and thought it was a good time. I haven't been as active, but it's because of the design projects I'm working on. It's been a busy and personally challenging quarter, finding balance in my life.

Every experience is a learning opportunity. I'm motivated by seeing and materializing projects with clients, helping them achieve their design and visualization goals. Here’s an initial concept for a home product made in Blender.

Over the past year and a half, I've had Blender in my sights, and I've been captivated by its experimental potential and the results it can achieve. #TBT 🔙 2017: The Allen sofa 🛋 was a great example of how to make an impact through behind-the-scenes design. This idea of furniture conceived from total modularity sought to influence the mass production of new products, their distribution and logistics, as well as their complete customization. But its most outstanding point are the different configurations it offers to end users, providing them with versatility in their spaces. This was carried out in collaboration with @ixl_center , under the Innovation Systems program of the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla and Colciencias, during my period working with @relaxhomecol

Esta idea de mobiliario pensada desde la modularidad total, buscaba influir en la fabricación en serie de los nuevos productos, en su distribución y logística, así como en su personalización completa. Pero su punto más destacable son las diferentes configuraciones que ofrece a los usuarios finales, brindándoles versatilidad en sus espacios. Three women from the same family, in times of uncertainty due to COVID-19 come together to create @evoquershop We help them consolidate an image that transmits well-being and, as its name says, evoke memories and recollections through sensory stimulation. But the most fun part was visualizing the final products in different compositions and atmospheres.

Tres mujeres de una misma familia, en tiempos de incertidumbre por el COVID-19 se unen para crear @evoquershop. Las ayudamos a consolidar una imagen que transmitiera bienestar y así como lo dice su nombre, evocar recuerdos y remembranzas por medio de la estimulación sensorial. Pero la parte más divertida fue ir visualizando los productos finales en distintas composiciones y atmósferas.

Suddenly, an idea starts spinning in my head and the first thing I do is sketch it. I think I am very visual when creating, and scratching it in a drawing makes me reinforce it. I don't start by making the best sketches, as long as I capture it, it's enough. That's why I always have a pencil and paper nearby.

You don't have to be the best at sketching, just think, scratch and that's it!

De repente, una idea empieza a dar vueltas en mi cabeza y la primera cosa que hago es bocetarla. Creo que soy muy visual al momento de crear y rayarla en un dibujo me hace reforzarla. No empiezo haciendo los mejores bocetos, con tal de plasmarla es suficiente. Por eso siempre tengo cerca lápiz y papel.

No hay que ser el mejor bocetando, solo pensar, rayar y listo!

El Mesón (2013) was one of those university projects that made me see how strong the impact of design can be on people and communities. It was identified that the kitchen was a point of high contagion of gastrointestinal diseases and I immediately saw how the inhabitants of Villa Clarín showed interest, and with their ideas and constant participation, it was possible to create a prototype. That is why I always say that this project was by and for the Villa Clarín community.

El Mesón (2013) fue uno de esos proyectos universitarios que me hizo ver qué tan fuerte puede ser el impacto del diseño en las personas y en las comunidades. Se identificó que la cocina era un punto de alto contagio de enfermedades gastrointestinales e inmediatamente vimos como los habitantes de Villa Clarín mostraron interés, y con sus ideas y participación constante se pudo llegar a la fabricación de un prototipo. Por eso siempre digo que este proyecto fue de y para la comunidad de Villa Clarín.

Sketching and drawing has always been part of my design process and even my life. I always walk around with a pencil and paper because you never know where an idea can grab you. It is and continues to be one of the best ways to communicate and explore.

Bocetar y dibujar siempre ha sido parte de mi proceso de diseño y de mi vida incluso. Siempre ando con lápiz y papel porque nunca sabes dónde te puede agarrar una idea. Es y sigue siendo una de las mejores maneras de comunicar y explorar.
